Beach House - Other People
Youth Lagoon goes well with some late night studying.
It’s a sunny day
Normal people: go to the beach, dance around to happy music in the sunlight
Me: stay inside in the dark, listen to music by depressing old men
The National playing Vanderlyle acoustically, in the middle of the audience, in the pouring rain. One of my favorite concert moments ever even though I was completely soaked.
Main Square Festival
My favorite moments were seeing The National and see Richard and Win from Arcade Fire playing with them, Bruno Mars live was surprisingly awesome and Tame Impala are just amazing. Coldplay played there as well, but to be honest was the wait for Coldplay more fun than Coldplay themselves.
A few days after the festival I saw Paul Simon in Brussels: a concert with an audience existing of old awkward Belgian people dancing weirdly and chanting in the most annoying way you can imagine. The concert itself was great though, “he sounds so good for a man his age”.
Warpaint is GREAT live. Really enjoyed the concert.
Beach House is great to listen to after just waking up.
Peter Allen - I Go To Rio
I think I like this a lot better! Haha this is such a classic, it’s hilarious Coldplay used a song like this for one of their songs.
Beach House - Take Care
I love those moments where you wonder how a piece of music can even be real.
Lollapalooza 2011
While Coldplay and Muse aren’t headliners to complain about, I can’t help but being slightly disappointed. There are many bands I don’t like or don’t know and I miss a few names I would’ve REALLY liked to see. But you can’t always get what you want and I might even discover some amazing bands I didn’t know about before. For now, the bands I’d like to see there are:
- Coldplay
- Muse
- Arctic Monkeys
- Beirut
- Lykke Li
- Local Natives
- Two Door Cinema Club
- Sleigh Bells
- Smith Westerns
- Best Coast
- The Pains of Being Pure at Heart
- Noah & The Whale
- Friendly Fires
- City and Colour
Are there people on here that are (pretty) sure that they will go to Lollapalooza this year?
Jon Hopkins - Autumn Hill
